Features & Benefits
Soudal All Purpose Silicone is a neutral-cure silicone designed for general sealing and bonding around the home or workshop. Available in 16 colours to match common building palettes.
- Neutral cure - non-acidic, safe on metal, mirrors, stone and most plastics where acetic-cure silicones would corrode or stain.
- Mould and mildew resistant - holds up in occasionally damp areas without going black or yellow.
- Waterproof + UV resistant - rated for -60°C to 150°C, sun-exposed and outdoor service without breaking down.
- 16 colour-matched options - matches popular Australian roofing and Colorbond palettes (Alabaster, Monument, Windspray, Classic Cream, Surfmist, etc.).
- NOT paintable - paint will not adhere. If you need a paintable bead, use Gap Filler or T-Rex instead.
Good to know Best for: general indoor/outdoor sealing where colour-match matters and the bead won't be painted. NOT for permanent submerged use, bathroom/kitchen (use the Bathroom & Kitchen variant for mould-prone wet areas), or surfaces that need painting over.
Frequently Asked Questions
Stocked colours include Alabaster, Translucent / Clear, White, Grey, Black. Choose colour to match the work. Apply with a cartridge gun, smooth with a wet finger.
Sealant adhesion fails on contaminated surfaces - the most common cause of premature sealant failure on field jobs. Spend 5 minutes prepping the substrate before applying.
For a long clean bead, use a dripless cartridge gun - the cartridge stops dispensing immediately when you release the trigger, preventing over-application at the end of the run.
Cure rate varies with humidity and temperature. Higher humidity = faster cure. Below 5C the sealant may not cure at all - work in warm conditions where possible.
Test paint adhesion on a small sample before committing to a long bead.
