Features & Benefits
Soudal T-Rex Power Fast Grab is the heavy-duty member of the hybrid polymer range. Fast initial grab plus 320 kg per 10 cm² holding capacity make it the choice for structural-grade sealing and bonding.
- 320 kg / 10 cm² holding strength - takes load almost immediately after application, vertical bonding without bracing.
- Fast-grab one-part hybrid polymer - bonds AND seals; cures via atmospheric moisture without ventilation needs.
- Paintable when cured, trafficable - same paintable + walk-on attributes as SMX50.
- Bonds to wet substrates - works in damp conditions where standard adhesives fail.
- Mould resistant, UV stable, waterproof - rated -40°C to 90°C.
- Isocyanate-free - lower-odour than two-part polyurethanes.
Good to know Best for: bonding heavy items vertically (cladding, signage, panels, treads), structural sealing, situations where grab speed and load capacity matter. For non-porous substrates (glass, polished metal) prime with Surface Activator first to maximise the bond.
Frequently Asked Questions
SMX polymer is the upgrade from traditional silicone where you need both seal AND structural bond. Cures by humidity to a tough rubber. Stocked in black, white and grey.
Sealant adhesion fails on contaminated surfaces - the most common cause of premature sealant failure on field jobs. Spend 5 minutes prepping the substrate before applying.
For a long clean bead, use a dripless cartridge gun - the cartridge stops dispensing immediately when you release the trigger, preventing over-application at the end of the run.
Cure rate varies with humidity and temperature. Higher humidity = faster cure. Below 5C the sealant may not cure at all - work in warm conditions where possible.
Test paint adhesion on a small sample before committing to a long bead.
