Guide to Fastener Finishes & Corrosion Resistance
Match the finish to your environment. We've grouped finishes into three tiers below — indoor / dry, outdoor / construction, and coastal / marine. Pick the tier that fits your build, then choose from the finishes inside it.
Indoor and dry-use finishes
Good for sheds, workshops, dry indoor jobs. Not for outdoor or wet use.

Outdoor and construction finishes
For weather-exposed jobs more than 1 km from the coast. Roofing, framing, decking, structural work.

Coastal and marine finishes
For builds within 1 km of the coast, beachfront work, marine and chemical exposure.

Not sure which tier? If your build is within 1 km of the coast, treat it as Coastal. Anything within 50 km of the sea (without sheltered topography) is Outdoor minimum. Send us your postcode and we'll match the right finish.
