M10 (10mm) x 1.50p Metric Coarse Hex Flange Bolts are hex bolts with an integrated washer face on the underside (the flange), removing the need for a separate washer.

About Hex Flange Bolts

Hex Flange Bolts have a six-sided head with an integrated washer face (the flange) on the underside. The flange spreads load and removes the need for a separate washer. Serrated variants have small teeth on the underside of the flange that bite into the mating surface and resist loosening from vibration. Common in automotive, machinery, structural steel and any high-vibration metal-to-metal application.

Not sure if this is the right size or thread?
Two ways to confirm before you order - whichever you already know about your fastener.
1If you know the fastener diameter

Compare your fastener to our visual size guide to confirm M-size, pitch and length.

2If you have the spanner or socket

Match your spanner / socket AF (across-flats) to the bolt size it fits. Our reference chart covers every metric and imperial size we stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use an M10 (10mm) Hex Flange Bolt instead of an M10 (10mm) Hex Bolt and washer?
The integrated flange spreads load like a washer, so a separate washer is not needed.

Fewer parts to handle on the production line, no risk of leaving the washer off, and consistent bearing area every assembly.

What does the serrated underside of an M10 (10mm) Flange Bolt do?
The serrations bite into the mating surface and resist loosening from vibration.

Serrated flange bolts give vibration resistance without a spring washer or Nyloc nut. Avoid on soft or coated surfaces where the teeth would damage the finish.

What strength class is this M10 (10mm) Flange Bolt?
Stainless A2-70 G304. Property class 70 (700 MPa minimum tensile).

See the head marking chart and full strength table on our site for the full conversion table.

What standard is an M10 (10mm) Flange Bolt manufactured to?
Manufactured to DIN6921.

DIN 6921 is the European standard, JIS B1189 the Japanese, IFI 111 the imperial. Head dimensions differ slightly between standards; check the AF before ordering.

What spanner / driver size do I need for an M10 (10mm) Flange Bolt?
Drive type: Hex. Spanner / socket size: 15mm.

Drive these with a matching spanner, socket or driver bit. Using an oversized tool will round off the head.

Should I use a flange nut with this M10 (10mm) Flange Bolt?
Yes, where possible. A matching flange nut spreads load on the other side of the joint.

If a flange nut is not used, a hex nut with a flat washer is acceptable.

Where are M10 (10mm) Flange Bolts typically used?
Automotive chassis and engine assembly, heavy machinery, structural steel, and any high-vibration metal-to-metal joint.

Common across truck, agricultural and earthmoving equipment. The serrated variant is favoured in production environments because it removes the need for a separate locking element.

Material & Coating

Stainless A2-70 G304 Austenitic stainless steel. Property class 70 designates a minimum tensile strength of 700 MPa with a 0.2 percent proof stress of 450 MPa. Lightly magnetic in cold-worked form, which does not affect corrosion performance.

Grade selection A2-70 G304 is the general-purpose stainless grade for outdoor and most chemical environments. A4-70 G316 contains 2 to 3 percent molybdenum, giving substantially better resistance to chlorides; A4-70 G316 is the preferred grade for marine, coastal and pool environments.

Important Do not pair stainless fasteners with plain or galvanised steel components in wet service. The galvanic potential difference accelerates corrosion of the less-noble metal.

Class Stainless fasteners are classified by property class: A2-35 / A2-50 / A2-70 in G304 stainless, and A4-40 / A4-70 / A4-80 (Bumax 88) in G316. The first digit indicates the alloy and the second is the minimum tensile strength in 100 MPa increments (e.g. A4-70 = 700 MPa). See the head marking chart and full strength table.

Thread Pitch & Terminology

Thread Pitch (Metric) Metric fasteners measure thread pitch as the distance between thread peaks, expressed in millimetres. Metric also branches into three series: coarse (the default; widest tolerance, easiest to tap), fine (a tighter pitch for higher clamp load or thinner walls), and extra fine (the tightest pitch, used for thin-wall tube, precision instruments, and aerospace fittings where vibration loosening must be minimised). Always match the series as well as the size - a metric fine nut will not engage a metric coarse bolt of the same diameter, and an extra fine nut will not engage either. This product has a 1.50mm coarse pitch, meaning the peaks are 1.50mm apart.

How to Measure

Fastener Length This product has a head that sits on top of the material, so the length is measured from directly under the head to the tip of the thread. The head itself is not included in the size.

Thread Length On a bolt the thread length runs from the start of the unthreaded section (called the shank) to the end of the thread. To view the thread length for this product, select a length above.
