Tri-Lob

Tri-Lobular Security Bits
Tri-Lobular bits, related to the Tri-Wing drive, engage the three-wing recess of a tamper-resistant fastener. The three-lobe pattern cannot be driven by a standard screwdriver or Phillips bit, so the matching bit is the only tool that fits.
Bit Range
Common Tri-Lobular / Tri-Wing sizes (#1, #2, #3) matched to the screws BNA stocks, in standard and long-shank lengths. Standard 1/4" hex shank for drill chucks, impact drivers and bit holders. The screws they drive are in Security Machine Screws.
Recommended Use
Match the bit number to the drive size exactly. Keep the bit square and seated fully before applying torque; the three wings round off quickly if the bit cams out. Replace worn bits early to protect the security screws.
