About Wedge Anchors
Wedge anchors (Trubolt-style) - heavy-duty mechanical expansion anchors for highest-load fixings into solid concrete and stone. Threaded stud with an expanding clip at the embedded end; tightening the surface nut wedges the clip outward against the hole walls. Hex drive, zinc yellow plated.
Recommended use Heavy-load structural fixings into solid concrete and natural stone. Used for machinery base plates, steel column anchoring, balustrade stanchions, safety-critical fixings and seismic restraint where the highest mechanical pull-out resistance is required.

Used for highest-load fixings into solid concrete and stone - structural column base plates, heavy machinery anchorage, safety rail posts. The mechanical wedge action provides excellent pull-out resistance under static and shock load.
Vacuum or blow the hole clean. Insert the anchor and tap it down to the embedment depth with a hammer. Tighten the surface nut to the published install torque to set the wedge.
Use a torque wrench for structural and safety-critical installations. Under-torque doesn't fully set the wedge - the anchor can creep under load. Over-torque can crack the concrete around the anchor.
For brick and hollow block use sleeve anchors or plastic wall plugs sized to the masonry type.
For removable installations specify a sleeve anchor instead - those CAN be drifted back out for service work.
Material & Coating
Stainless A4-70 G316 Austenitic stainless steel. Property class 70 designates a minimum tensile strength of 700 MPa with a 0.2 percent proof stress of 450 MPa. Lightly magnetic in cold-worked form, which does not affect corrosion performance.
Important Do not pair stainless fasteners with plain or galvanised steel components in wet service. The galvanic potential difference accelerates corrosion of the less-noble metal.
Class Stainless fasteners are classified by property class: A2-35 / A2-50 / A2-70 in G304 stainless, and A4-40 / A4-70 / A4-80 (Bumax 88) in G316. The first digit indicates the alloy and the second is the minimum tensile strength in 100 MPa increments (e.g. A4-70 = 700 MPa). See the head marking chart and full strength table.
How to Measure
Wedge anchor sizing The M-size is both the drill bit size AND the bolt body diameter (M6 = 6mm bit). Overall length covers the embedment depth (at least 50mm into solid concrete for M6-M8, 60mm+ for M10-M12), the fixture thickness, the washer, and enough thread to bring the nut up tight. Anchor must be tightened with a calibrated torque wrench to expand the wedge clip - snug-tightening alone will not seat the wedge.
