Nylon Flat Round Washers

Nylon Flat Round Washers
How to measure washers
Two ways to confirm before you order - whichever you already know.
1If you know your bolt size

Washers are named by the bolt they fit: an M10 washer suits an M10 bolt. The inside diameter is slightly larger than the bolt so it slides on. Our guide covers every size and washer type we stock.

2If you have a washer in hand

Measure the inside diameter (ID), outside diameter (OD) and thickness, as shown in the drawing.

MATERIAL

Nylon 6/6 (Natural White) — The standard option. High strength, good chemical and temperature resistance, electrical insulator.

Nylon 6/6 (Black) — UV-stabilised for outdoor exposure. Same mechanical properties as natural with better sun resistance.

KEY FEATURES

Excellent electrical insulator. Highly resistant to common chemicals and solvents. Temperature stable across normal service ranges. Non-magnetic. Light weight. Won't mark painted or polished surfaces. Resistant to weathering (especially the black UV-stabilised grade).

TYPICAL USES

Insulation between dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion. Electrical assemblies where a metal washer would short-circuit the joint. Soft-contact protection for painted automotive and architectural panels. Light vibration damping in plastic-housed assemblies.

Nylon flat round washers replace a steel washer with an insulating, non-marking plastic alternative. They're used for electrical isolation, galvanic corrosion prevention between dissimilar metals, soft contact on painted or polished surfaces, and where light vibration damping is helpful.
