Features & Benefits
Soudal Bathroom & Kitchen Silicone is a mould-resistant neutral-cure silicone formulated for wet zones around showers, baths, basins, sinks and splashbacks.
- Enhanced fungicide package - resists the black mould growth that's the typical failure mode of bathroom seals.
- Neutral cure - safe on stainless splashbacks, mirrors, glass shower screens, marble and engineered stone benchtops.
- Colourfast UV resistant - won't yellow under skylights or near windows in wet areas.
- Waterproof and flexible - tolerates the thermal cycling of hot showers and dishwasher splash zones (-60°C to 150°C).
- Internal use, not paintable - designed for indoor wet areas; paint will not adhere.
Good to know Best for: shower screen perimeters, bath/wall joints, sink and basin edges, kitchen splashbacks. Clean and dry the surface thoroughly before applying - residual soap or grease will cause early seal failure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Use around basins, baths, shower trays, kitchen sinks, tile-to-tile joints. NOT for glass-to-frame (use neutral cure) or for areas with continuous water immersion.
Sealant adhesion fails on contaminated surfaces - the most common cause of premature sealant failure on field jobs. Spend 5 minutes prepping the substrate before applying.
For a long clean bead, use a dripless cartridge gun - the cartridge stops dispensing immediately when you release the trigger, preventing over-application at the end of the run.
Cure rate varies with humidity and temperature. Higher humidity = faster cure. Below 5C the sealant may not cure at all - work in warm conditions where possible.
Test paint adhesion on a small sample before committing to a long bead.
