Raised head machine screws are a hybrid between countersunk and round head. The lower section of the head is tapered like a countersunk screw and sits in a countersunk recess, while the upper section forms a small dome that remains visible above the surface. The result is a partially-recessed head with a neat, decorative dome finish.
Also known as: Raised Countersunk, Oval Head, Raised Flat Head.
Used in decorative panels, consumer products, signage and any application where a countersunk fit is required but a completely flush finish is not desired — the dome provides a visual indicator that a fastener is present and gives a more finished appearance than a fully flush head.
MATERIAL AND DRIVE
Available in Zinc Plated and selected stainless grades. Drive types include Phillips and Slot. Fully threaded with uniform diameter — requires a pre-tapped hole or matching nut.
