Wedge Anchors | Trubolts
Wedge anchors (commonly called Trubolts) are the workshop default for solid concrete fixing. The anchor is a threaded stud with a tapered cone at the bottom and a sliding wedge clip - when the nut is tightened, the cone draws up into the wedge clip and locks the anchor against the concrete. Single hole, no setting tool, predictable load behaviour.

Zinc Yellow Class 4 wedge anchors in M6 through M20 thread, lengths covering substrate thickness plus engagement. The largest single sub-cat in the range - 56 SKUs covering nearly every common solid-concrete fixing requirement.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Zinc Yellow (Class 4): yellow chromate passivation over zinc plating - the BNA-standard masonry-fixing finish. Suited to general interior and sheltered exterior installation. For coastal, pool plant or fully-exposed exterior installation, specify stainless A4-70 G316 as special order via Contact us.
INSTALLATION
Drill the hole to nominal anchor diameter (M10 anchor = 10mm hole) and to a depth at least 10-15mm beyond the anchor tip. Blow out drilling dust with compressed air. Drive the anchor into the hole - tap with a soft hammer if needed. Tighten the nut to the published torque value - tightening draws the cone up into the wedge and expands the anchor against the concrete.
SIZE AND LOAD
M6 anchor = typical 3-5kN WLL in 32MPa concrete; M10 = 8-12kN; M16 = 20-30kN. Edge distance must be at least 10x anchor diameter for full WLL; reduce capacity for closer edge. Length covers substrate thickness plus an embedment depth of 5-8 anchor diameters.
