Hose Clamps

Worm-drive hose clamps are the standard adjustable hose clamp - a stainless band wrapped around the hose, tightened by a screw thread that engages slots punched in the band. The screw drives the band tighter around the hose, sealing the hose to a fitting.

Also known as: Jubilee Clip, Worm Gear Clamp, Hose Clip, Universal Band Clamp, Tridon Clamp.

Stainless A2-70 G304 band with zinc-plated drive bolt. Universal-band slot pattern. Sized by hose-diameter range: 10-16mm, 12-22mm, 18-32mm, and up to 200-220mm. Band width 9mm standard.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Stainless A2-70 G304: 700 MPa minimum tensile, 304-family austenitic stainless. The general stainless grade for sheltered marine, freshwater, inland and non-coastal outdoor use. Tea-stains in direct saltwater exposure over time - for surf-line or boat-deck use, step up to A4-70 G316. Largely non-magnetic. The drive bolt is zinc-plated steel (not stainless) - a cost compromise standard across the worm-drive hose clamp industry. INSTALLATION AND USE

Open the band fully. Slip over the hose end. Position the band evenly around the hose-and-fitting overlap. Tighten the drive bolt with a flat-blade screwdriver or 7mm AF nut driver until the band is firmly seated. For high-pressure applications (compressed air, hydraulic, high-temperature), use two clamps spaced along the hose for redundancy.

A NOTE ON GALLING

Stainless threads can gall under tension - apply a thin film of nickel-based anti-seize from the Anti-Seize range to the male thread before assembly. Tighten slowly, never with an impact driver.

SIZE AND WLL

Select by hose OD - the OD must fall within the clamp's published min-max range with some adjustment headroom. A 19mm hose fits in a 12-22mm clamp. Overlap range allows for manufacturing tolerance variation in hose and fitting.
