Two ways to confirm before you order - whichever you already know.
1If you know your bolt size

Washers are named by the bolt they fit: an M10 washer suits an M10 bolt. The inside diameter is slightly larger than the bolt so it slides on. Our guide covers every size and washer type we stock.

2If you have a washer in hand

Measure the inside diameter (ID), outside diameter (OD) and thickness, as shown in the drawing.

MATERIAL

Nylon 6/6 (Natural White or Black) — A high-viscosity nylon with excellent strength, chemical resistance and temperature tolerance. Suitable for electrical, marine, chemical and outdoor applications. Black grade is UV-stabilised for prolonged sun exposure.

KEY APPLICATIONS

Electrical isolation between bolt and panel in switchgear and control cabinets. Galvanic isolation between stainless fasteners and aluminium, or stainless and mild steel — preventing accelerated corrosion. Vibration damping in light assemblies. Insulation for solar PV mounting and lighting systems.

SIZE NOTES

Sized by the bolt diameter the washer is intended to receive. Each product lists the actual ID, OD, shoulder length (H) and flange thickness in the table. M3 through M12 covered in the standard range.

Nylon shoulder washers (also called insulating bushing washers) isolate machine screws, bolts, socket screws and rivets from the surrounding material — preventing electrical contact and galvanic corrosion where dissimilar metals would otherwise meet. The "shoulder" is a small projection that fits into the hole, while the flat flange sits flush against the surface.
