Wall Plugs

Wall plugs are the workshop-default light-duty masonry fixing - generic nylon plugs sized to common screw gauges. Cheaper than Mungo engineered plugs but with more variable expansion behaviour. Suited to light shelf, fixture and fitting mounting in solid masonry.

Also known as: Nylon Plug, Universal Plug, Masonry Plug, Grey Plug, Wall Anchor Plug.

Grey universal nylon masonry wall plugs in 5mm x 25mm through 10mm sizes, 21 SKUs covering the common 4g through 10g screw range.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Grey nylon: standard nylon plug body. Inert in masonry contact. The screw is the metal load-bearer; the plug is the expansion mechanism. Lower precision than engineered Mungo plugs but acceptable for general light-duty fixing.

INSTALLATION

Drill the hole to the published plug diameter. Insert the plug. Drive the matching screw into the plug. The plug expands against the hole wall as the screw enters.

SIZE AND LOAD

WLL is generally lower and more variable than engineered Mungo plugs. For load-rated applications prefer Mungo; for shelves and light fittings, grey wall plugs are economical.
