Round head machine screws have a domed upper surface with a flat bearing underface. Once the standard head style for machine screws, round head has largely been replaced by pan head in modern engineering — but it remains in use for legacy equipment maintenance, heritage restoration, electrical fittings and applications where the specific rounded profile is specified.

Also known as: Dome Head, Round Head, Bun Head.

Fully threaded with uniform diameter — requires a pre-tapped hole or nut. The domed head sits above the surface with no sharp edges.

MATERIALS AND DRIVE

Available in Zinc Plated, Brass and selected stainless grades. Drive types include Slot and Phillips — matching driver bits are in our Driving section. Thread systems cover Metric Coarse, British Association (BA) and selected imperial sizes to support maintenance and restoration of older equipment.
