Sleeve Anchors

Sleeve Anchors

Sleeve anchors run a threaded bolt through a long expansion sleeve. The sleeve covers most of the anchor's length, distributing expansion force over a long zone in the masonry. Suited to brick, hollow block and stone where a wedge anchor's localised expansion would crack the substrate.

Also known as: Sleeve Bolt, Anchor Bolt, Concrete Sleeve Anchor, Brick Sleeve Anchor, Hex Sleeve Anchor.

Zinc Yellow Class 4 sleeve anchors with hex head. 6.5mm body (M5 thread) through 16mm body (M12 thread). 53 SKUs across the size and length range.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Zinc Yellow (Class 4): yellow chromate passivation over zinc plating - the BNA-standard masonry-fixing finish. Suited to general interior and sheltered exterior installation. For coastal, pool plant or fully-exposed exterior installation, specify stainless A4-70 G316 as special order via Contact us.

INSTALLATION

Drill the hole to the published diameter (matches the sleeve OD, not the bolt nominal). Blow out drilling dust. Insert the anchor through the substrate hole. Tighten the hex head with a spanner - the bolt draws up through the sleeve, expanding the sleeve against the hole wall over its full length.

SIZE AND LOAD

WLL depends on substrate - solid concrete delivers full WLL; hollow brick may deliver 50-70%. Per-SKU spec on every product page. The sleeve length must engage the substrate fully - shorter substrate thickness reduces the engaged sleeve length and reduces WLL.
