A nutsert needs a setting tool to pull and compress it into the panel. The right tool depends on the thread size and the material: plier tools suit smaller sizes in aluminium and steel, while heavier sizes and stainless need a ratchet tool for the extra setting force.
MATCHING THE TOOL TO YOUR NUTSERT
Each tool covers a thread range. Plier tools (POP PNT110, Gesipa GBM10, Geiger GHTJ703A) handle M3 to M6; the FAR KJ21 reaches M8; ratchet and heavy-duty tools (POP PNT210, RT-512, Geiger GHTH3) cover the larger M5 to M12 sizes and stainless. Confirm the per-material range before you buy.
