Eye Screw Anchors
Eye screw anchors are the rigging-anchor variant of the Xbolt screwbolt. The screwbolt has a stainless eye welded to its top - the bolt screws into the concrete and the eye becomes a permanent rigging attachment for ropes, slings or rigging hardware.
Also known as: Eye Xbolt, Concrete Eye Anchor, Rigging Anchor, Concrete Eye Bolt, Eye Screwbolt.
Zinc Yellow Class 4 M8 eye-head Xbolt screwbolts, 55mm length. The single stocked combination covers most light-to-medium rigging anchor applications.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Zinc Yellow (Class 4): yellow chromate passivation over zinc plating - the BNA-standard masonry-fixing finish. Suited to general interior and sheltered exterior installation. For coastal, pool plant or fully-exposed exterior installation, specify stainless A4-70 G316 as special order via Contact us.
INSTALLATION
Drill the pilot hole and blow out dust. Drive the screwbolt with a spanner through the eye, or with a special slotted drive socket designed for eye-head screwbolts. Tighten until the screwbolt base seats firmly against the substrate.
SIZE AND LOAD
M8 thread = ~7kN WLL in 32MPa concrete. The eye is rated for AXIAL load only - never load the eye sideways. For overhead lifting, use forged shoulder eye bolts (special order).
