S Hooks
S hooks are open-end stainless hooks shaped like a letter S. Hook over one anchor at the top, hang the load from the bottom. The open form means quick installation without unfastening, but the open hooks can slip off under shock load or upward force - not for safety-critical applications.

Stainless A2-70 G304 long-arm S hooks in 5mm wire x 50mm length and 6mm wire x 60mm. Long-arm form has the two ends offset for easier hand engagement.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Stainless A2-70 G304: 700 MPa minimum tensile, 304-family austenitic stainless. The general stainless grade for sheltered marine, freshwater, inland and non-coastal outdoor use. Tea-stains in direct saltwater exposure over time - for surf-line or boat-deck use, step up to A4-70 G316. Largely non-magnetic.
INSTALLATION AND USE
Hook the upper end over a fixed anchor (bar, ring, chain). Hang the load from the lower end. For dynamic load applications, fit safety wire or a positive-close hook variant - the open S form is not safe under shock or upward load.
A NOTE ON GALLING
Stainless threads can gall under tension - apply a thin film of nickel-based anti-seize from the Anti-Seize range to the male thread before assembly. Tighten slowly, never with an impact driver.
SIZE AND WLL
Wire diameter determines load capacity - 5mm = ~30kg working, 6mm = ~50kg. These are general-utility hooks; for rigging or lifting work, use a closed snap or spring hook.
