Wave Washers

Washers are named by the bolt they fit: an M10 washer suits an M10 bolt. The inside diameter is slightly larger than the bolt so it slides on. Our guide covers every size and washer type we stock.
Measure the inside diameter (ID), outside diameter (OD) and thickness, as shown in the drawing.

TYPICAL USES
Bearing preload in light machinery. Vibration damping in small assemblies. Taking up axial play where a small adjustment is needed without a precise shim. Maintaining tension in plastic-housed fasteners where over-tightening would crack the housing.
MATERIAL
A2-70 G304 Stainless Steel — Corrosion-resistant for general use.
STANDARD
Manufactured to DIN 137B. Product table lists OD, ID and unloaded height.

Wave washers are similar to a Belleville washer in spring function but with a wave form instead of a single cone. They take up axial play, absorb light vibration, and prevent bolts or screws from losing friction and backing out. The wave gives a gentler, more linear spring rate than a Belleville disc.
