Metal Pin Anchor

Metal pin anchors are knock-in mushroom-head anchors for through-fixing thin substrates (batten, cladding, trim) into concrete or brick. The anchor body is hammer-driven through the substrate and into the masonry hole; the internal pin expands the anchor body against the hole wall.
Also known as: Knock-In Anchor, Pin Anchor, Metal Mushroom Anchor, Hammer Drive Anchor.
Zinc metal mushroom-head pin anchors, 5mm body x 22mm length. Limited stock range for the common 5mm size; other sizes via Contact us.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Zinc plated metal: standard finish suitable for general interior and sheltered exterior fixing. The mushroom head is hammer-impacted during installation - the hard finish resists deformation.
INSTALLATION
Drill the hole through the substrate and into the masonry to the published diameter and depth. Blow out dust. Push the anchor through the substrate hole and into the masonry hole. Hammer the mushroom head - the integral pin drives down through the anchor body, expanding the body against the masonry hole wall.
SIZE AND LOAD
5mm body = ~1-2kN typical WLL in 32MPa concrete. Light-duty fixing for batten and cladding weight; not for structural load.
