H-IT Anchors

H-IT Anchors

H-IT anchors are mushroom-head strike anchors with a pre-loaded internal expansion mechanism. The anchor enters the drilled hole; a sharp hammer blow on the mushroom head drives the internal cone wedge and expands the anchor body against the substrate. No separate setting tool required - the drive blow does both the seating and the expansion.

Also known as: Iccons H-IT, Strike Anchor, Mushroom Strike Anchor, Hit Anchor.

Stainless A4-70 G316 H-IT strike anchors with mushroom head in 5mm through 8mm body sizes, 25mm through 60mm lengths. 26 SKUs across the size range.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Stainless A4-70 G316: marine-grade austenitic stainless with 700 MPa tensile and chloride-pitting resistance. Suitable for direct coastal, pool plant and saltwater-spray installation where standard zinc finishes would fail. Largely non-magnetic.

INSTALLATION

Drill the hole to the published diameter and depth. Blow out dust. Insert the anchor; the mushroom head sits proud of the substrate. Strike the head firmly with a hammer - the cone expands the body and the head seats against the substrate. Single-blow setting suits high-volume installation.

SIZE AND LOAD

5mm = ~2kN WLL; 6mm = ~3kN; 8mm = ~5kN in 32MPa concrete. Marine grade adds the corrosion life premium - for non-marine installation, zinc-finished alternatives are more economical.
