Linch Pins

Linch pins (lynch pins) are quick-release retaining pins with a sprung wire loop or ball that holds the pin in its hole and releases by hand without tools. They secure removable hardware - trailer hitches, axles, linkages, gate fittings and equipment pins - where fast, repeated removal is needed.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Stocked in stainless and zinc-plated steel. Choose stainless for marine, outdoor and wash-down use; zinc for dry, general hardware.

INSTALLATION AND USE

Push the pin through the aligned holes and snap the sprung clip over so it locks the pin against falling out. To release, lift the clip and withdraw the pin by hand - no tools needed.

SIZE AND FIT

Sized by pin diameter and usable (grip) length. Match the diameter to the hole and the length so the clip seats clear of the joint.
