Two ways to confirm before you order - whichever you already know.

1If you have a screw in hand

Measure across the outside of the thread - not the shank - to get the gauge (an 8g screw measures about 4.2mm). Screw gauges have a wider tolerance than bolts, so treat it as a close match rather than exact. Then measure the length - countersunk timber screws are measured overall, head included.

Every product page carries a Screw Gauge and TPI chart for its range - every gauge links straight to the product. Rule of thumb for timber: coarse threads for softwood and framing, fine threads for hardwood.

Bremick MultiONE® Revolution screws use a patented thread profile and drive geometry that lets one screw serve across most Australian timbers - pine, hardwood, treated pine and engineered timber - without splitting hardwood or stripping softwood. The Torx T20 drive resists cam-out even under high torque on tough or knotty timber.

8g (4.2mm) shank in 28mm length, supplied in 80-pack and 250-pack format. Countersunk Truss head form, Torx T20 drive. Galvanised Class 4 finish. Used for general framing, decking support, batten and engineered-timber connections.

GRADES AND MATERIALS

Zinc Yellow (Class 2): zinc plate with a yellow chromate passivation - interior and dry, sheltered work. Galvanised (Class 3, 4, B8 and X9): galvanised finishes for exterior and structural work and treated-pine exposure - the higher the class, the harsher the environment it suits. Higher Classes and painted variants available.

DRIVE AND INSTALLATION

Drive with a T20 Torx bit at 800-1500 RPM. Torx engagement is positive - no cam-out under high torque. For dense hardwood, drop driver speed and let the thread cut at a slower pace rather than driving at full speed. The Bremick MultiONE® thread is self-tapping in most timbers without pre-drilling.

8g (4.2mm) shank, 28mm length. Deep-thread profile bites in pine, hardwood, treated pine and engineered timber without splitting at board ends. For other sizes, Contact us for special order via Bremick.
