Low Head Socket Cap

Match your Allen / hex key AF (across-flats) to the screw size it fits. Our reference chart covers every metric and imperial size we stock.
Low head socket cap screws are a reduced-height variant of the standard cap head socket screw, designed for applications where a full-height cap head won't fit — shallow countersinks, recessed panels, cramped machinery spaces and assemblies with tight clearances.
The hex socket drive is smaller than on a full cap head of the same thread size, which means maximum installation torque is reduced compared to a standard cap head. They are fully threaded with uniform diameter throughout and require a pre-tapped hole or matching nut.
MATERIALS
Zinc Plated — Bright silver finish, internal use. Standard for general engineering and electronics applications where head height is the primary constraint.
A2-70 G304 Stainless — For applications requiring corrosion resistance where a standard cap head is too tall. Largely non-magnetic — A small degree of work-hardening magnetism is normal.
