Where you need to fix something to metal AND make it stay fixed. Self-drilling security screws combine a wing-tip or drill-point head (for cutting through 1.5-5mm steel) with a tamper-resistant drive (Pin Torx, Tri-Wing) so the install is one-step and the removal is one-tool-only. Used on metal enclosures, electrical panels, transport-vehicle panels, signage frames.
Sizes & Specifications
Gauges: 10g, 12g, 14g. Lengths: 16mm, 25mm, 32mm, 50mm. Drives: Pin Torx (T20, T25), Tri-Wing (#2), Spanner (#8, #10). Head styles: Hex Flange (with integrated sealing washer on outdoor variants), Pan, Wafer. Substrate: 1.5-5mm steel depending on drill-point length. Finish: Stainless A2-70 G304.
Recommended Use
Match the drill-point length to the steel thickness. Too short and the threads start cutting before the point exits the back of the metal, which splits the sheet around the screw. Hex Flange head with sealing washer for any external application; Pan or Wafer for internal use where the head needs to sit low. Always use a matching security bit on an impact driver - the drill point cuts faster under impact action than under steady torque.
