Packers

Window packers are flat plastic shims used to set window and door frames straight before fastening to the substrate. The horseshoe shape lets the packer slip in around a fastener without unfastening the frame; stacked packers fine-tune the gap between the frame and the substrate face.
Also known as: Window Shim, Frame Packer, Glazing Packer, Horseshoe Packer, Plastic Shim.
White plastic horseshoe window packers, 1.5mm thickness x 75mm length x 36mm width. Other thicknesses available via Contact us.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
White plastic: inert non-corroding shim material. Won't crush under modest clamp load. Stackable for thicker adjustments.
INSTALLATION
Insert the packer behind the frame at the position where adjustment is needed - typically near the fixing point. Stack multiple packers for thicker shimming. Tighten the frame fixings to compress the stack and lock the frame straight.
SIZE AND LOAD
1.5mm thickness; stack multiple for thicker shims. Width covers a typical 36mm fixing-point face; length spans the typical frame jamb cross-section.
