Hollow Wall Anchors
Hollow wall anchors are cavity-wall fixings for plasterboard, hollow block and similar cavity substrates. The anchor body inserts through a drilled hole; a matching setter tool pulls the rear of the anchor in, flaring the rear legs behind the cavity face. The matching screw then threads into the locked anchor.

Hobson zinc silver hollow wall anchors in M4 through M6 thread sizes. 14 SKUs covering wall thicknesses from 0-4mm through 4-12mm - select the anchor to match the actual cavity-front thickness.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Zinc silver coating: matt zinc finish; the body is mild steel. Suited to indoor and dry-exterior cavity-wall fixing.
INSTALLATION
Drill the hole through the cavity front to the published diameter. Insert the anchor through the hole so the head sits flush against the front face. Fit the matching setter tool onto the anchor's threaded core. Squeeze the setter handles - the rear legs of the anchor collapse behind the cavity face. Unfasten the setter; the anchor is set. Drive the matching screw into the threaded core to fix the load.
SIZE AND LOAD
M4 = ~0.3-0.5kN WLL; M5 = ~0.5kN; M6 = ~0.8kN in standard 10mm plasterboard. The cavity substrate is the limiting factor - the anchor itself is stronger than typical plasterboard can support.
