Countersunk Metal Screws
Measure across the outside of the thread - not the shank - to get the gauge (a 10g screw measures about 4.8mm). Screw gauges have a wider tolerance than bolts, so treat it as a close match rather than exact. Then measure the length for your head type.
Every product page carries a Screw Gauge and TPI chart for its range - every gauge links straight to the product. For metal: coarse threads bite and hold thin sheet; fine threads (higher TPI) give more grip in thicker steel.
Countersunk metal screws have an 82-degree countersunk head that pulls flush with the substrate as the screw seats. They are the choice for sheet-to-section cladding where a protruding head would interfere with finishing, painting or downstream layers. The self drilling point cuts both the cladding and the host steel in one pass.

8g-18 (4.20mm) through 12g-14 (5.50mm) gauges in coarse thread, lengths from 25mm through 50mm. Tek 2-3 drill point capacity for sheet to 3.5mm host. Phillips PH2 drive standard. Galvanised Class 3 finish. Configurable parent SKUs link the gauge family across the length range.
GRADES AND MATERIALS
Zinc Yellow (Class 2): zinc plate with a yellow chromate passivation - Class 2 corrosion rating for interior and dry, sheltered work. Galvanised (Class 3, 4, B8 and X9): galvanised and heavy-coated finishes for exterior, structural and coastal exposure - the higher the class, the harsher the environment it suits. Both use a Class-rated steel core for high pull-out and shear strength.
DRIVE AND INSTALLATION
Phillips (PH2 or PH3 depending on gauge), Square (SQ2) or Hex - check the per-SKU spec. Run on a powered driver at 1500-2500 RPM for thin sheet, 800-1500 RPM for thicker steel. Set the clutch / impact torque so the head seats flush without crushing the cladding or stripping the host thread. For countersunk heads, watch for cladding deformation - if the countersink is into thin sheet alone without backing steel, the head can pull the sheet down into the void instead of countersinking cleanly. For sheet-on-sheet cladding, switch to the Wafer or Button Pan head form.
SIZE AND DRILL CAPACITY
8g, 10g and 12g gauges available. 8g for light cladding into 1-2mm sheet, 10g for general cladding into 2-3mm sheet, 12g for cladding into 3-3.5mm sheet. Lengths must cover the cladding plus the host steel plus 5-8mm thread engagement.
