Under-set, correctly set and over-set nutsert cross-sections

Full hex open end rivet nuts have a six-sided body along their full length. Set into a hex (not round) hole, the flats key against the panel so the insert physically cannot spin, even under repeated tightening.

WHEN TO CHOOSE IT

Choose full hex where the bolt will be done up and undone often, or carries high torque - machinery guards, removable panels, equipment frames. It needs a hex hole punched or broached rather than a round drilled hole.
