Post Hex Bits

Pin Hex (Post Hex) Security Bits
Pin Hex bits, also called Post Hex, are Allen bits with a hole drilled down the centre so they fit over the centre pin of a Pin Hex security fastener. A standard Allen key will not enter the drive - only the matching pin-hex bit fits.
Bit Range
Common Pin Hex sizes across the metric AF range, in 25mm standard and long-shank lengths for recessed access. Standard 1/4" hex shank for drill chucks, impact drivers and bit holders. The screws they drive are in Security Machine Screws and Security Self Tappers.
Recommended Use
Match the bit AF to the fastener drive exactly. Use a magnetic bit holder or sleeve to keep the screw on the bit. Replace worn bits early - a slipping bit rounds the recess and the security screw then has to be drilled out.
