Snake Eye Drive Bits

Snake Eye (Spanner) Security Bits
Snake Eye bits, also called spanner or two-hole bits, have two pins that engage the two drive holes in a Snake Eye security fastener. No standard driver fits the two-hole drive, so the matching bit is the only tool that turns it.
Bit Range
Common Snake Eye sizes matched to the two-hole screws BNA stocks, in standard and long-shank lengths. Standard 1/4" hex shank for drill chucks, impact drivers and bit holders. The screws and nuts they drive are in Security Machine Screws and Security Nuts.
Recommended Use
Match the bit size to the pin spacing of the drive exactly. Keep the bit square to the head so both pins stay seated; an angled bit slips and rounds the holes. Use a bit holder to steady the screw during the start.
