Countersunk Head

Security Countersunk Self Tapping Screws
Countersunk security self tappers cut their own thread into sheet metal, plastic or timber and finish flush with the surface, with a tamper-resistant drive so they cannot be removed with a standard screwdriver. Common on metal cabinets, covers and public fittings.
Drive and Size Range
Tamper-resistant drives including Pin Torx, Pin Hex, Tri-Wing and Spanner / Two-Hole. Gauge sizes across the common self-tapper range in zinc-plated and stainless. The matching driver bits are stocked in Security Bits.
Recommended Use
Use a countersunk head where the screw must finish flush in a pre-drilled or self-piloting hole. Match the gauge to the material thickness and the bit to the drive. For harder substrates, drill a pilot hole to the recommended size to avoid head shear.
