JCB Flat In/Hex socket barrel nuts are commonly used among the furniture and building industry, the head of the nut resembles a barrel shaped flange with a protruding boss that is internally threaded. The boss (connector nut) sits within the two joining pieces. A popular bolt and nut option as the head on both sides of the join sit almost flush with the surface

Material / Coating: Stainless Steel A2-70 G304 is the most popular grade of stainless steel. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and very practical because of its excellent corrosion protection in most environments. Nuts are not stamped due to the small head size. Stainless steels are largely non-magnetic but it is common for some stainless steel fasteners to show a small degree of magnetism which is a result of work-hardening during the manufacturing process
