Description

HSFG Structural Washers have 3 dimples on the outside of the washer to indicate they are structural washers. They were orginally designed to be used with structural bolts but now are also used with high tensile allthread and other high or even low tensile products. The washers can be seen in steel-to-steel structural connections in many buildings and bridge constructions across Australia
New standard for Structural assemblies K0 AS1252:2016: This standard replaces the previous standard AS1252:1983/1996. The major change is the mandatory assembly testing. The assembly test requires all components of a structural assembly (bolt, nut and washer) to be tested together. Refer to the PDF's for further information
Understanding and measuring washer sizing: Washer sizes can be a little confusing. The inside diameter of a M16 washer is greater than 16mm to allow the washer to fit over the bolt therefore M16 washers suit M16 bolts
Are Metric & Imperial Washers Interchangeable?: In most cases they are which is why we have added metric sizing to the imperial range and imperial sizing to the metric range. Material / Coating: Galvanised is a dull greyish colour and can be a little rough in appearance and is mainly used outdoors because of its superior corrosion resistance and proven longevity.
