- German made SDS Plus 4 Head Masonry Drill Bit is our best masonry drill bit, excellent drilling into most materials including concrete with REO. Will drill masonry, stone, concrete, brick / block work and hardened concrete. The German manufactured 4 head cut plus multi-fit drill bit is a superior drill bit and used throughout the construction industry
- Features / Benefits: The SDS Plus multi-fit system fits most SDS rotary hammer drills. The 4 head cut gives it dynamic drilling ability, with secondary cutters protecting the drill bit in the event of reinforcement collision. The bit has wear markers indicate if the drill bit is still suited for drilling holes for plug and anchor fixtures. Tungsten carbide tipped for longevity and a strengthened flute. 4 x 90 deg geometry with four specifically developed cutting edges of equal height for precise, accurate holes for professional fixings. Shaped edges for protection when hitting rebar, preventing jamming and increasing lifespan of drill
- What is SDS?: SDS stands for slotted drive system, which means the drill bits have a slot at the end of the shank which fits into the chuck of an SDS+ drill. These slots lock the drill bit into position and allow it to be propelled forward by the hammering action of your drill, at the same time as it rotates. Inside the drill bit shaft are two sprung ball bearings, as opposed to a regular drill bit that is held in place by the three teeth of the drill chuck
