- Bumax is known as the strongest stainless steel fastener in the world. With the same class properites and strength as high tensile carbon steel 10.9 but with the added benefits of being made from stainless steel. BUMAX 109 is a premium A4 fastener that also offers far superior corrosion resistance than standard A4 due to its higher molybdenum content

- Material / Coating: High tensile class 10.9 marine grade stainless steel A4-80 G316 is the ultimate corrosion resistance fastener. Manufactured from a new variant of acid-proof Swedish steel SS 14.234 Bumax stainless steel A4-80 G316 can be identified by the unique A4 316 L 100 marking
- Can Stainless corrode?: Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant but not corrosion-proof and corrosion can occur if the material is installed or handled incorrectly. The use of tools and drills made from conventional steel during the installation of stainless steel fasteners may also lead to problems. Even the hardest of tools can produce debris that leaves minute steel particles on the stainless steel fastener surfaces or in pre-drilled holes. It is these particles that often rust when exposed to moisture or oxygen and can result in a stained or tarnished finish to the stainless steel material
