Description

  • Carbon Die Nuts are used for cleaning and resizing existing damaged threads. Used in conjunction with a wrench or spanner. Carbon is a good & economical material for general purpose / DIY use
  • Difference between a Hex Die Nut and a Button Die Nut?: Hex die nuts are ideal for repairing broken or worn threads by hand. Also useful for machining new external threads in difficult to reach applications. A button die nut is used precision threading of bolts, studs, rods and other pieces that require external threading by hand. Can also be used for cleaning/repairing external threads
  • Manufactured in: EU
  • Cutting Fluid: Recommend the use of a cutting fluid or compound to aid in the efficiency of the Die nut and to prolong its working life. We recommend Alpha CDT cutting fluid (Code ATL005)
  • Thread Pitch (Metric): Pitch means the distance between the peaks of two threads along a screw, bolt, or fastener expressed in millimetres (mm). Used when referring to Metric parts. For example, a thread pitch of 1.50mm means that the distance between one thread and the next is 1.50mm
