Strength Chart

With different terms for different measurement systems trying to understand the strength isn’t as straight forward as a,b,c. This chart doesn’t go too deep, just enough to quickly compare different materials and classes. We are often asked how strong is a stainless bolt compared to a class 8.8 bolt? Surprisingly, they are closer than you would think. Which is why we lined the data up so you can see the difference between imperial and metric. Unknown to most, a class 8.8 high tensile metric bolt is equivalent to a grade 5 imperial bolt, and a grade 8 imperial bolt is equivalent to a class 10.9 metric bolt.
